How many of us imagine watching the sunset with our beloved ones or someone special? All of us! I'm totally absorbed by the beauty and calmness of the sunset to notice I am alone.
I watch the sunset often because the feeling it gives me is complete calm and serene. It helps to remind me that no matter how my day went or what may be bothering me. It seems to be that minor and unimportant, once I see that complete sunset!
It makes me feel kind of happy, I feel connected to the whole world.
But it makes me sad as it is when the day ends. If its a bad day, then it makes me happy. Endings can often be beautiful too; sunset is the proof. And it makes me appreciate life.
Mumbai is a city where lakhs of dreams become a reality and lakhs of realities become a dream. Go to a distant village and ask, “What is Mumbai?” and the answer you will get is “HOPE”.
Life here is like a roller-coaster ride. You face many ups and downs. We, the Mumbaikars, at times face many problems. But on the other hand, there is hope too. There can hardly be some people on this planet who are not acquainted with the word “Mumbai”.
The eyes refuse to open. It seems justified, after only a four hour sleep, and at least fourteen hours of work which lies ahead. The odds are stacked against them. Busy with the day's plan, busy with unfulfilled dreams, every day making the dreamer more and more determined to achieve the dream, achieve the impossible.
Even with all this, Mumbai is still the city of dreams. No matter what happens, people still dare to dream. The dreams just gets stronger everyday. Even after every draining day, after every fatal punch, when you watch the sunset, the hope is still there.
It assures you that it's only the end of the day. That same sunset is being seen by millions; all over the world and has been being seen for millions of years. It doesn't judge anyone, it's there for everyone to see and enjoy.
Sunsets make us relaxed, the sky all multi colored and warm is sort of calming. But they also make us sad because it is the end of the day. We watch the sunset alot because it is beautiful and calming. It leave us with a feeling of deep contentment, peace and happiness. That's another day negotiated with relatively few compromises, hopefully having hurt no one, and being true to yourself and those you care for... What more do you need at the end of the day?
Try to watch it whenever possible. It gives us the impression that:
- Everything, at a point of time, looses its heat in the high waters of every day life
- Nothing stays the same, and yesterday's sun is not today's, for today you're different, you're a day older
